Compliance and International Sanctions

Compliance and international sanctions represent an increasingly complex challenge for operators in the maritime sector, exposing companies to significant legal, financial, and reputational risks.

Thanks to approximately 15 years of experience in sanction compliance, a deep understanding of the operational characteristics of various players in the shipping industry, and targeted training (including participation in the inaugural edition of the Limes – Italian Geopolitical Review school), the Firm has progressively developed a solid and recognized expertise in maritime compliance.

In a constantly evolving geopolitical and regulatory landscape, SLPC does not limit itself to addressing urgent issues related to international sanctions and export controls, but helps clients anticipate trends, analyze medium-term dynamics, and manage sanction-related risks.

SLPC works with a selected network of lawyers specialized in international sanctions in the United States and the United Kingdom and, for sanction compliance activities, makes use of internationally recognized screening software and other providers.
